Ken Martin, CCIM
(Broker Associate)
Ken Martin considers himself a native of Oklahoma but moved to Port St Lucie in 1999. After a career in restaurant operations and management, Ken embarked on a new career in commercial real estate. He joined SLC Commercial, Inc. to focus on traditional brokerage of commercial real estate. Under the mentorship of veteran broker John H. Auld, CCIM, Ken started his quest to become a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). In 2007, Ken achieved this prestigious designation. To grow his leadership skills, he joined the Florida Chapter of CCIM and was named President of the East Coast District in 2010. In 2011, Ken was appointed Vice Chairperson of the Scholarship Committee for the Florida Chapter of CCIM and in 2012 will assume the role as Committee Chair. Ken has also been involved with his local Realtor Association as a member of the Professional Development Board (2009-2010).
From the start of his career with SLC Commercial in 2004, Ken has completed over 100 transactions including both sales and leasing of retail, office, and industrial real estate. Ken’s primary focus is industrial real estate, typically maintaining a listing inventory of over $10M in assets for sale. Recently, he has represented national lenders in the disposition of their REO assets as well as distressed properties. He continues to foster relationships with lending institutions at both the local and national level.
Ken has also become involved in his community through his appointment by the City of Port St Lucie as a member of the Code Enforcement Board in 2008. In 2009, he was appointed by the City Council as a member of the PSL Planning and Zoning Board. In this position Ken is able to gain a better understanding of the overall community and he continues to work to improve the City of Port St Lucie. |
