For Immediate Release — July 29, 2013 121,000sf Stuart, FL Warehouse Sells For $8,000,000
(Stuart, Florida) Jeffrey D. Chamberlin, CCIM, SIOR, President of SLC Commercial, announced the sale of the former Thies & Sons beer distributorship on Commerce Avenue in Stuart, FL to TurboCombustor Technology, a manufacturer of gas turbine engine parts. TurboCombustor is now known as Paradigm Precision. The facility, a 121,000sf air conditioned distribution warehouse on 15 acres with a rail spur, sold for $8,000,000. The facility was built in 2008, but was never occupied, as Thies was purchased by Gold Coast Beverage, who had no need for the property. To pave the way for the purchase, Martin County and Enterprise Florida stepped forward with an incentive package that recognized the 200 new jobs that were being created and the 400 existing jobs that were being retained in the State of Florida. Florida Governor Rick Scott presided over the Ribbon Cutting ceremony to recognize the company’s expansion.
Chamberlin listed the property in the summer of 2010 for $13,500,000. The property was marketed worldwide for three years but, in the end, was purchased by the next door neighbor. SLC Commercial represented the seller. The buyer was represented by York Property Company and Jackson Cooksey.
